Currently on the software front, nearly all our AmIRC plugins are getting cleaned up and released under the GPL. New ones are still in the design stages, and at least one is undergoing a major rewrite. The Installer script used by the plugins is getting quite mature now, and we'll be looking into getting it translated sometime in the near future. If anyone else wishes to use it for their own AmIRC plugins, then please tell us about it (and we'd be very happy to add other peoples plugins to our list, GPL or not).

Just because I should have done it long ago, I've released a new StackAttack2 again. Differences to StackAttack.lha on aminet include being 100% asm, smaller, re-uses the patch code, and lets you see what you currently have it set to use.

Login.AmIPlug has been updated. It has moved out of beta, and into public testing. The only change left is to make it use NListtree for prefs layout, to differentiate between the servers and channels in a more user-friendly way. Apart from that, feel free to play with it. ;-) NOTE: if you previously installed a beta version, you will need to install this manually due to a bug in Installer.

On a related note, all the AmIRC plugins will be undergoing some internal changes over the coming weeks, functionality won't change at all, and binary packages are unlikely to be updated. However the source will hopefully become fully MorphOS native - even though AmIRC itself hasn't been ported (yet?). This might not mean much to anyone (except the obvious AmigaOS 4 vs MorphOS crowd) - but once the AOS4 developer stuff is with coder friends I'll hopefully get it ready for that too...
